What is Search Engine Optimization?
Search Engine Optimization is the process of increasing the visibility of a website in Google, Yahoo & Bing to rank for popular terms. Let’s say that you run a website about ‘Aluminum’ products. If you search on Google about ‘Best Aluminum Company,’ your website should emerge first. In reality, most sites don’t appear because they don’t spend on SEO.
The website that shows up first gets more calls, customers, or visitors utterly free without paying anything. It saves money for advertisements, and companies will love you if you can get the first results. It prevents their brand from looking cheap due to repeated ads.
What Makes SEO?
The Search Engine Optimization process is broken down into different components. I have listed one of the critical elements of SEO below.
Search Engine Optimization revolves around keywords. They are the queries, phrases, or terms that a person searches on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. They determine when and where search engines will display your website.
So if you create pages with the right keywords, you will be honored with free SEO traffic. If you create content around popular keywords that search engines can understand, you will receive free visitors or customers.

How To Rank A Website in Search Engines?
Google, the #1 most visited search engine, has 200 ranking factors. It provides a significant algorithm update every year. To rank a website, we must follow the rules and regulations of the search engine where we want to rank. An audit is required to implement all those guidelines recommended by Google in four steps, which we’ve described below.
The Complete SEO Process [Infographics]
Below is an infographic showing the complete SEO process in three different phases. People fear of SEO and make it complicated, but it is simple and broken down into the following stages.
3 Stages of SEO
These four phases power up a website to make it start ranking for the keywords of our choice. Below is my take on the different stages of the SEO process from the infographic:
1. Keyword Research: Find a group of 15-20 terms and phrases that people search in Google to purchase a product. It is the most critical stage of the SEO process to get conversion, traffic, and start ranking.
3. Off-Page SEO: This is content marketing and natural backlinks building stage. We also try to get links from news sites known as press releases. They carry a very active, outstanding, and trustworthy citation. In addition to that, we build links from .edu, .gov, chamber, BNI, and other sites.
Local SEO is all about ranking a local business website for local search keywords. Let’s say that you are the owner of a less popular hotel in Kathmandu, and you want more customers. There are two ways to find more customers: one is by doing a local advertisement through TV, radio, newspaper, and other agencies that cost a lot of money and investment. The other option is to create a website for your hotel and do SEO for it. In this way, if people search for the best hotel in Kathmandu or the best luxury hotel in Sanothimi or whatever place that might be, your business should be listed on top of Google. That is the power of local SEO. You will get free customers without doing any paid advertisements.
